Rock fans rejoice! Gorillaz, the alternative rock band best known for hits such as “Feel Good Inc.,” “DARE” and “Clint Eastwood,” is making their debut in Fortnite Festival Season 10 tomorrow.
Epic Games announced in a blog post on Monday that all the members of the animated rock group — Murdoc Niccals, 2D, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs — will be taking the main stage to headline the newest season of Fortnite Festival. The main stage will be decorated with all the locales from their albums and music videos, such as Plastic Beach and a city all painted in street graffiti.
Gorillaz’s digital concert performance within Fortnite will bring the best VIP kit for any Gorillaz fan: the Noodle & 2D Bundle. This bundle comes with accessories and emotes based off the characters, including both of their skins, the mic (2D), and axe guitar (Noodle), and the DARE emote for your character to dance like Noodle in the “DARE” music video. You can unlock Murdoc and Russel if you get the Season 10 Music Pass.
I haven’t played Fortnite since 2021, but I’m surprised to see Gorillaz make an appearance in the game, even though I like hearing their music as an alternative rock fan. Epic should bring HUNTR/X from K-Pop Demon Hunters into the game next. The movie has been out for two months, and it’s become so popular on Netflix it gained a limited theatrical sing-along release.
