Oh Konami. Oh sweet Konami. Why?! Why must you stoop so very low? There is no doubt in anybody's mind that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is going to bring in a shit load of awards. Not only was the game ambitious in its beautiful presentation, but it broke a lot of ground on the new generation of hardware. But the air around the game's victory is tainted by Konami's legal team directly telling series creator and creative director of the project, Hideo Kojima, that not only does he not get to accept the award but asked him not to attend The Game Awards at all. The new voice of Snake, Kiefer Sutherland accepted the Best Action/Adventure award on Kojima's behalf. When told the reason that the beloved game designer was not on stage to accept it himself the crowd erupted into booing, as seen in the video below. Bad form Konami. Bad form!
