There is quite a lot to do in Mouse P.I. For Hire. You have multiple cases that will take you across different locations, a decent amount of side jobs to attempt, and an abundance of collectibles to find. Even the shortest of levels has some tricky secrets to find and extend your playtime.
Needless to say, your private eye adventure in Mouseburg likely won’t be a short one. If you’re curious about how long it takes to beat Mouse P.I. For Hire, whether it’s keeping to the main path or trying to find every hidden area, we’re breaking it all down for you below.
How long does it take to beat Mouse P.I. For Hire?
Mouse P.I. For Hire is a pretty linear game. You’ll sometimes have the freedom to choose which case to advance, but they’re all heading for the same conclusion. The biggest variable for how long you spend in Mouseburg, aside from your general skill, is how much you’re exploring each level.
If you’re planning to stick pretty exclusively to the main missions, expect to reach the end at around 15 hours in. There are some clear benefits to finding the secrets that each area holds, namely for collectibles and schematics for weapon upgrading, but all that content is optional.
Those looking to tackle every side job and discover the numerous secrets in each level should finish between 17 and 18 hours. Getting into the optional locked-off areas is what will take the longest. A majority of the side jobs don’t require you to explore too much, with some even being found along the main path of a mission.
Mouse P.I. For Hire is a fun ride, no matter how you play. I do recommend spending some time finding the many hidden areas and safes in a level if you’re having trouble. Sometimes you’ll just find a newspaper, but other times you’ll find an always welcome weapon schematic or even a room filled with ammo.
Mouse P.I. For Hire is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
