Herminia, the Master of Wealth, is one of the three main antagonists you must face near the beginning of your campaign in Octopath Traveler 0. Just like Auguste and Tytos, her boss battle has two phases, making this a difficult showdown if you don’t come prepared. Lady Herminia has two phases. Here’s how to beat each one.
Lady Herminia (Phase 1)
Lady Herminia isn’t alone here, as her Lady in Waiting accompanies her. The Lady in Waiting is a lot easier to take down, so focus on defeating her first so the fight can be just between you and Herminia. She is weak to Axe, Bow, Staff, Fan, and Wind attacks, and she only has 8 shields.
Meanwhile, Lady Herminia has 12 shields and is weak to Dagger, Axe, Tome, Lightning, and Dark damage. Alexia is a perfect character to have in your team as she can deal Tome, Lightning, and Dark damage.
During this phase, Herminia will also often apply SP sap on your party members. This will slowly drain their SP, but it’s not by a lot. Still, make sure to bring items that can give SP to your party.
Herminia the Huntress (Phase 2)
Herminia turns into a wild monster during the next phase, but luckily, she’s weak to the same types of attacks. She will continue attacks that can sap SP from your party members, but more notably, she can inflict sleep on some of them. You can cure this with a Herb of Awakening.
Otherwise, you’ll want to get rid of her Manifestations of Mental Decay when she summons them. You have to destroy them before their 4-turn timer runs out, or else they’ll unleash a massive attack that can K/O some of your party members.
The Manifestations of Mental Decay nearly have the same weaknesses as Herminia, but instead of daggers, it’s weak to swords. One thing to note is that you shouldn’t attack the Manifestation if it used the All-Attack Counter Stance move. This means that anyone who attacks it will receive the sleep affliction.
