How to get the Good Ending Achievement in High on Life 2

High on Life 2 is a lot like its predecessor in that it’s overflowing with wacky and absurd humor at every turn. Not only are you bound to miss out on some lines of dialogue and many quips, but you may also miss getting a joke ending and a related achievement.

The good news is that this joke ending occurs fairly early in the game. All it takes is to ignore reason and the game’s instructions. Read on as we explain how to get The Good Ending achievement in High on Life 2.

How to get The Good Ending achievement in High on Life 2

Although it’s not the first achievement you can miss, it does go by very quickly. Your opportunity to see the joke ending easter egg occurs in the opening section of the game, as you run and gun your way through a zoo to save Lizzie, your sister.

Play through it normally until you finally reach her. A large group of bounty hunters will arrive to kill Lizzie, but they change their minds once they see you. They’ll then start cheering for you to kill her, which is humorously at odds with what the game wants you to do.

If you’re wondering what happens if you shoot Lizzie, the answer is that it gives you The Good Ending achievement. The screen will cut to black and show you a short roll of credits, complete with photos from this what-if ending.

Anyone worried about losing progress can rest easy. After the credits are finished, or once you skip them, you’ll be sent back to a checkpoint that’s thankfully placed right before the moment above.

In other words, go ahead and shoot Lizzie when you get the chance. No harm, no foul, and you’ll end up with an achievement that’s easy to miss. Keeping this out-of-the-box mentality in mind will help you discover plenty of other easter eggs and achievements as you play more.

High on Life 2 is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
