How To Respec in Borderlands 4

With so many awesome skills to choose from in Borderlands 4, it’s perfectly normal to want to try new builds and playstyles as you journey across the planet of Kairos. As such, you may occasionally want to respec your skill points. And though you don’t have access to this feature immediately, you can unlock it early in the game. We’ll tell you how below.

How to respec in Borderlands 4

To unlock the ability to respec in Borderlands 4, you’ll need to first make some progress in the story by completing the third main mission in the campaign, “Down and Outbound.” This will unlock the first respec machine in the game. It’s found within The Launchpad point-of-interest and looks like this:

Though this is the first opportunity you’ll have to respec your skill points, you’ll come across numerous other respec machines in major fast travel points across Kairos. They’re easily identifiable on your map as a triangle icon with a head inside.

To respec in Borderlands 4, approach the respec machine and pay a cash fee to begin the process. Beware that the amount you pay is not refundable if you decide to back out and skip the respec, so be certain you’re ready to make some changes before you pay up.

Take note that at the bottom of the respec screen, you can choose whether respec just one tree or all trees, which can obviously save you some time if you’re just looking to make some changes to a single tree.

Now that you’re feeling fresh with a respec, make sure you check out all Borderlands 4 SHiFT codes available right now so you can get some Golden Keys.
