While Pokémon Legends: Z-A has you collecting different Flabébé to unlock hair dyes, there’s another side quest that can grant you unique colored contacts. It’s not obvious which side mission it is, and it’s a lengthy one with many parts to it.
These missions will require you to show off different Mega Evolutions of Pokémon to an NPC, but you need to get the Pokémon as well as the Mega Stone for it. We’ll help you through unlocking all the colored contacts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A if you’re tired of the same-old colors.
How to get new eye colors in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
To unlock all colored contacts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you must start “Side Mission 30: Show Me a Mega Camerupt!” on Vernal Avenue right outside of Vernal Pokémon Center.
The first part of this side quest has you showing a Mega Camerupt to Arden the artist. You’ll then have to show her your Mega Camerupt during a Pokémon battle with her to get two colored contacts.
After that quest, you’ll be able to complete “Side Mission 31: Show Me a Mega Sableye!” and “Side Mission 32: Show Me a Mega Medicham!”, each of which will grant you two more eye colors.
Where to find Camerupt
You’ll be able to find an Alpha Camerupt roaming around Wild Zone 8. After catching them, you’ll get the Cameruptite Mega Stone after defeating the Rogue Mega Camerupt during Main Mission 12.
Fight Arden while showing off Mega Camerupt, and you’ll unlock the Lovestruck and Fired Up colored contacts.
Where to find Sableye
The next Pokémon to find is Sableye in Wild Zone 9, between the alleyways. You can also acquire a Sableye by completing “Side Mission 3: Sableye in the Cemetery.” Catch the Sableye and then purchase a Sablenite from Quasartico Inc. for 180 Mega Shards.
Do the same thing and fight Arden with Mega Sableye, and you’ll receive the Starry Eyes and Black Void colored contacts.
Where to find Medicham
The final Pokémon to find is Medicham, which is only available in Wild Zone 20. A simpler way to obtain one is to find Meditite in Wild Zone 6 at the basketball court and then evolve it into Medicham. You’ll then need to buy Medichamite from the Stone Emporium for $50,000.
Fight Arden for one last time with Mega Medicham, and you’ll unlock the Cyber and Pokéball eye colors.
