One of the most iconic games to ever hit the store was Amnesia by Frictional Games and when it did, it kicked off the whole “Let’s Play” aspect that we see on YouTube and platforms like Twitch was built off of. The game became a series when The Dark Descent was joined by both Justine and A Machine for Pigs, creating the Amnesia: Collection which was ported both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but now it is also making its way to the Nintendo Switch.
If you don’t know much about the Amnesia series, here’s a quick breakdown of the different titles. The original and first game was The Dark Descent which holds a story that takes you deep into a decaying castle, plagued by unimaginable horrors – as well as your own memories you would rather forget. Justine tells an unforgiving story of altruism and egoism, deciding between life and death. You can save everyone, but be careful: one wrong move, and it’s your life that’s on the line. Finally, you head under the streets of London to find a hellish machine is waking up: A Machine for Pigs, the creation of madness and grief, set to change the world as it is.
If you are a fan of horror and you haven’t played through Amnesia yet, then there is no more excuses. The full collection is now available on all platforms since it has been officially ported to the Nintendo Switch. Are you ready to face the most iconic horror game?
