I had a chance to go hands-on with it, and I can say it’s quite a marvel — pun fully intended.

Impressions

Of course, the first step is always to take the figure out of the box. And I’m glad to say that, as with other Hot Toys collectibles, the Infinity Ultron Sixth Scale Figure and its components come well-protected in styrofoam and plastic, yet it’s easy to unpack.

This figure doesn’t come with the smorgasbord of optional accessories found in many Hot Toys offerings, instead featuring just two swappable hands with movable fingers. This is fine by me, as I tend to pass on decking my figures out anyway — but for those who prefer more customization, it’s worth noting that the budget for this Infinity Ultron was clearly focused on providing a top-tier diecast figure.

And in that regard, it succeeds admirably. The figure is extremely tall and hefty, and it looks and feels premium, with plenty of points of articulation for posing. The detail is immaculate, too, as I’ve come to expect from Hot Toys.

His giant double-headed spear is not diecast, which is probably for the best, as that would be a bit heavy for the figure to support. As it is, it’s a two-piece item that is easy to assemble and apply to the figure for posing.

The figure also features multiple battery-powered light-up sources, including his eyes, mask, forehead stone, and Infinity Stones on his chest. However, constantly having to remove the cover pieces to turn the lights on can be kind of a headache, so I’d recommend only doing this when you’re looking to show him off in a dimly lit room.

Conclusion

It should come as no surprise that the Infinity Ultron Sixth Scale Figure is a high-quality showing from Hot Toys, providing a gorgeous centerpiece for a Marvel collection. It’s pricier than many similar collectibles from the company, though, due to its materials and larger size, so I’d argue that it’s best reserved for true enthusiasts of these two combined characters. For casual fans, it might be best to wait for a sale.
