Cloak and Dasher originally began as a one-month project by Kevin Randino, founder of Spirit Stone Studio, called Escape Hero. After putting the game online for free, where it was received very well by players, Kevin decided to take the game and craft it into something more fun. Over a year later, Cloak and Dasher has now released as the studio’s debut title.
In this hectic 2D platformer, players take control of Cloak the Infiltaker, the soon-to-be tomb explorer legend! Players don’t have to worry about navigating through long levels, as they only need to reach the end of the screen. You must be careful, however, as the way out is filled with deadly traps, pits, and robots. In order to surpass these obstacles, players must take advantage of their super jumps and air dashes.
Key aspects of Cloak and Dasher include:
Fluid gameplay and simple controls.
Single-screen mazes that can be completed in seconds.
50+ challenging levels on Early Access release with more to be added in future updates.
Online leaderboards.
Level editor and level sharing being added later on.
Cloak and Dasher is available now via Steam Early Access and can be purchased for $9.99 / €8.19 / £7.19. Those that pick up the game before March 2nd will receive the game at a 10% discount.
