They always say with new technology the biggest innovators are almost always porn and religion. This seems more true with the news that the story of Jesus of Nazareth, Christ, The Son of God will be told via VR this Christmas according to Polygon. Jesus VR is a 90-minute 360-degree film that has already been shot and will give fans an immersive experience for what it was like to be Jesus.
The experience is ironically being developed by the same studio that made the Paranormal Activity game, and produced by one of the guys behind Mel Gibson's The Passion of The Christ.
I'm super curious as to what this will look like. I would assume it's low budget, but even so a 90 minute 4K film in VR?! That sounds pretty awesome. What's your opinion?
