Knowing that their highly anticipated horror game is set to release this holiday season, Striking Distance Studios and KRAFTON are looking to start sharing some more intimate details of The Callisto Protocol. A few months back we got a nice look at the gameplay, not to mention the gameplay we got when they dropped the release date announcement, but now they are delivering a look around the environment of the Black Iron Prison.
The Black Iron Prison is a maximum-security facility located on Jupiter’s moon Callisto, where something has gone terribly wrong. Much like they did when they originally created Dead Space, the entirety of the game is said to take place within one large station - or prison, in this case. Soon, we’ll be able to strap on the boots of the cargo space pilot Jacob Lee and face the horrors within that prison.
The Callisto Protocol is set to release on December 2nd for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. They also opened pre-orders in Day One, Standard, and Digital Deluxe editions. There’s also a Collector’s Edition, available exclusively in the US and Canada at Gamestop and EB Games, which includes a limited run Steelbook case, comic book, and ultra-premium collectible statue.
