Capcom's Mega Man franchise has been an iconic series in the history of gaming, but it is also notoriously challenging, especially for beginning players. In a recent article by Siliconera, it was revealed that the upcoming Switch titles, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2, will make gameplay a little easier for beginners with the introduction of a Rookie Hunter mode.
The new mode can be toggled both in the main menu and anytime during the game. It also allows players to decrease damage taken by 50%. If the Rookie Hunter Mode is toggled on in Mega Man X4 and X8, it will prevent the occurrence of instant deaths from spikes and bottomless pits.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will release to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on July 24. The collection will also feature extra goodies such as gacha capsule toys, cards, and soundtracks. Lastly, both editions will include a 25-minute animated feature called "The Day of Σ," and will serve as the prologue to Mega Man X.
