The Cursed Child is unlike most sidearms in Mortal Shell 2, as it’s not your typical weapon. Like the Troubadour’s Lute, the Cursed Child doesn’t damage the enemy. Instead, this sidearm pushes back a nearby enemy, leaving them prone to an attack. It’s not the easiest sidearm to find, though. If you’re struggling to round up this unusual weapon, here’s how to get the Cursed Child in Mortal Shell 2.
Where to find the Cursed Child in Mortal Shell 2
You can find the Cursed Child sidearm in Mortal Shell 2 at the Revered Beacon Dungeon. This is in the southeastern region of the map, and it’s not accessible from its main entrance. Instead, follow these steps:
Head into the main courtyard of this castle, then head up the stairs on your left, passing the enemy in your way and jumping off the platform on the right.
Run through the cave and either take out the enemies or sprint past them until you get to the wind geyser that lets you leap up out of the cave.
Hop off the wooden platform and run straight down two sets of stairs. Weave through or defeat the enemies in your way as you curl around the corner and run along the castle wall until you get to the elevator.
Take the elevator down, make a left, and turn left again to find the entrance to the Revered Beacon Dungeon.
This dungeon is quite different from most, as you’ll be running along a torch-lit path as the falling rain slowly eats away at your health. I recommend having as many health regeneration items as you can during this dungeon, as you’ll need to heal often.
Strangely, on my first playthrough of the dungeon, the rain didn’t hurt anymore, so you may also run into this bug. Nevertheless, follow the torches and try to ignore the enemies (no time to fight them as your health is depleting) until you make it to the top.
Leap onto the platform with the brazier, then hit the brazier with your weapon. It’ll break, replacing the fire with the Cursed Child. Quickly return to the entrance before you get more hurt, and you can now try out this new sidearm!
