After your first trek to Marrow Keep in Mortal Shell 2, you’ll have a few waypoints on your map unlocked for you to explore as points of interest. One of these is the Forgotten Crossbow, a sidearm that you can acquire easily within the next hour or so of your gameplay. Getting this sidearm is no easy task, though, so here’s how you can acquire the Forgotten Crossbow in Mortal Shell 2.
Where to find Forgotten Crossbow in Mortal Shell 2
The Forgotten Crossbow in Mortal Shell 2 is first accessible by breaking the wooden boards blocking the archway, just northwest of the Blackridge Pass Beacon. Follow the waypoint on your map, and you’ll come to an area with a few annoying enemies ready to inflict Poison and Lightning on you.
Take them out, then walk up to the wooden platform. While your map tells you to enter the stone building, the entrance is blocked, so break these wooden boards and then look through the archway. The building’s entrance is now unblocked, so step through the archway and head into the building to commence the dungeon.
Head through the portal and down the elevator to find two enemies blocking the way through. These guys can be a pain, but more is to come, so take your time defeating them. On the wall to the left of where you came in is a plate that’ll lift the iron bars blocking your way through.
Hit the plate, then go down the next elevator. Be prepared for a flurry of enemies that explode in poisonous bursts when you get to the new area called the Flooded Town. The Forgotten Crossbow is in this area, but blocked behind a door that requires a Damp Key.
How to find the Damp Key in the Flooded Town
After clearing out a few annoying pests, you’ll eventually find the door that requires a Damp Key. Turn away from the door and look out into the distance beside the chest with the note on top. That house is where you’ll want to go to get the key, but you have to go the long way around.
Walk down the ramp and be careful of a few weak enemies along the way. Run along the watery ground until you find a slope leading you up to higher ground. Take care of the enemies in your way, and try not to fall off.
You’ll eventually make it to the home with two torches at its entrance. Head left around the back of the home, and by a brazier is the Damp Key. You can now hop down and head back to the door to unlock it and reveal the Forgotten Crossbow.
