Mortal Shell 2 is a long and challenging Souls-like experience filled to the brim with items to find around every corner. However, you'll occasionally come across chests that require you to find and light offerings (candles) in the area to unlock them. Likely the first of these you'll encounter is in the Mushroom Village. A prize awaits you inside, so let's dive in and find those offerings.
All offering locations for the Mushroom Village chest
There are three offerings (candles) you need to find and interact with to unlock the chest in the Mushroom Village. The locations for each of them are below.
Offering 1
The first offering is directly behind the chest. Simply walk up onto the stage here to find it.
Offering 2
From the first offering, head left and follow the pathway upward to the very first house on your left. Wrap around the outside of this house past a ladder to find the second offering. There will be two enemies here you'll need to defeat as well, so stay sharp.
Offering 3
From the second offering, continue around the house, then walk straight ahead toward the archway. Immediately before the archway is the final offering.
For completing all of these offerings and opening the chest back in the middle of the area, you'll earn the Auspicious Stone, which will give your melee attacks higher crit chance. Make sure to equip it!
