Neverness to Everness does its best to stand out amongst others in the gacha genre. That includes having an open world in which you can drive a car, as well as adding some puzzle or minigame flair to the gacha rolling systems. You’ll encounter a great example of the latter when you’re introduced to Modules.
These provide stat boosts, making them quite important for empowering characters and eventually setting up specific builds. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get modules and use them in Neverness to Everness.
How to get Modules in Neverness to Everness
There is only one way to obtain Modules in Neverness to Everness, and that’s through the Rewind gacha. While most important screens have shortcuts, the Rewind gacha can only be accessed through a character’s Console screen. Here are the steps to use Rewind and get Modules:
Go to the Character Menu
Scroll down to any character’s Console tab to open the Console screen
Click the Rewind button (or L3 on PS5) in the bottom left corner
Set what module rarity you’re looking for by choosing between Easy, Normal, and Hard Rewind
Spend 80 Carrota for one module pull, or 800 to get ten
Higher-rated modules provide better stats than lower-rated ones. Only Easy Rewind, with the weakest stats, is available at first. Unlocking the Normal and Hard Rewinds requires you to reach Hunter Levels 20 and 30. These latter options also let you prioritize specific module shapes, instead of the Easy Option’s complete randomness.
You’ll need Bronze, Silver, and Gold Carrota to pull the Easy, Normal, and Hard Rewinds. You will slowly earn Carrota as you keep playing. Defeating Anomalies around the city is likely how you’ll first come across these resources.
If you want to farm Carrota, I recommend visiting the Rabbit Hole Anomaly Zone inside the New Herland District. You're guaranteed to earn them as rewards from completing these challenges. These also drop Cartridges, which work hand in hand with modules.
How to best use Modules in Neverness to Everness
Pairing modules with characters is a bit more involved than how other gachas pair stat buffing gear. In Neverness to Everness, you slot in module pieces onto a character’s Console board. These pieces look similar to those from Tetris, but they also include two-square and four-square shapes.
You could throw whatever you want in here willy-nilly, but there are far better ways to use these. Don’t forget that whatever Cartridge you slot into a character’s Console has additional buffs that unlock when you include two or four specific module shapes.
Each character additionally gains a unique buff when specific modules are included. For example, Mint earns a 7.5% CRIT Rate bonus for every Type III module (those with three squares) on her board. Finding the right balance between these extra buffs is key to optimizing your characters.
That covers all you need to know about Modules in Neverness to Everness. Building the perfect module optimization is more needed at higher levels, but it will certainly make things easier for those just starting as well.
Neverness to Everness is available now on PS5 and PC.
