Neverness to Everness: How to Buy a Car

While the menus and mechanics in Neverness to Everness will mostly feel familiar to gacha enthusiasts, inspiration from games like Grand Theft Auto helps it stand out. The world isn’t filled with amoral characters killing each other, but there is a similar wanted system, property ownership, and cars to buy and steal.

Driving these around is a must in this game. You’re left to explore a big city with regrettably slow movement speed after all. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get and buy cars in Neverness to Everness.

How to get a Car for free in Neverness to Everness

The first and quickest way to get a car is to take one from an NPC. As soon as you reach the open-world portion of the game, you can approach an NPC inside a vehicle and trigger the Requisition action. If they agree, they’ll step out and allow you to take it.

There is no penalty if they don’t agree, although you always have the option to steal their ride. You can steal a car by attacking the vehicle until the NPC runs away and then entering it yourself. If it’s parked on the side, simply approaching it will bring up the Steal interaction.

Keep in mind that stealing a vehicle will increase your wanted level by one star. Something else that’s good to remember is that you can’t keep any of the vehicles you stole. No matter if it’s a car or a motorcycle, you’re unable to add them to your garage if they’re stolen.

For those who don’t want to tread with the law just yet, you should continue playing through the game’s early missions. Completing the Prologue II mission will reward you with the Rover A1 moped.

It’s slower than any other vehicle, albeit still much faster than walking. Being able to summon it off roads is another benefit over a car. Whether it’s the desire to participate in races or wishing to drive across the city at a more respectable speed, you’ll want to upgrade to something with four wheels.

How to buy a car in Neverness to Everness

Buying a car is thankfully pretty straightforward, but it will require some traveling. If you want to purchase a vehicle, you’ll need to head to a vehicle dealership and then speak with the staff member at the front desk to browse the vehicles they have on sale. Pay the specified amount of Fons to unlock the vehicle for summoning.

This whole process is actually introduced through the main quest line right after you receive your moped. You’ll be sent to explore the city, which introduces you to Chiz and the City Tycoon minigame. Increase your City Tycoon rank to level 2 to unlock a mission that requires you to purchase a car.

Vehicles are expensive in this game, so you’ll probably start with the cheapest option. Go to any of the dealerships later when you’re ready to buy something better.

That covers what you need to know about buying cars in Neverness to Everness. Remember to also visit Rampage Player vehicle modification shops so you can customize and enhance your owned cars. They’re displayed on the map with icons resembling half of a car and a wrench.

Neverness to Everness is available now on PS5 and PC.
