How does Bubsy 4D’s gameplay work?

Despite its name, Bubsy 4D is a 3D platformer, with Bubsy being able to jump, glide, and, thanks to his Hairball form, roll and bounce through each of the game’s planets. You can collect yarn and blueprints in each of the game’s levels and exchange them at a store for new outfits, new moves, or upgrades.

Each level features a time trial challenge, and runs can be uploaded. This enables other players to race against each other’s ghost data, making Bubsy 4D a speedrunning haven.

What is the plot and setting of Bubsy 4D?

The Woolies, the series’s antagonists, have captured all of Earth’s sheep. Bubsy, our furry protagonist, ignores this threat. Eventually, the sheep overthrow the Woolies, and they return as tech-enhanced BaaBots, snatching the prized Golden Fleece from Bubsy’s paws. Your mission is to bring it back and clear every BaaBot boss you might come across.
