With everybody looking to get into the spooky season, many of us turn to our scary outlets of entertainment. While there are plenty of movies and video games to turn to, I thought it would be worth sharing a quick list of new content for those looking to bring the scares to a table top role-playing game (TTRPG) experience! To keep it simple, here is a list of games and expansions released this year by Free League Publishing!

This 5E built table top game, released on June 7, 2022, has players explore the dark forest of Davokar which is covering the remnants of an empire which fell into ruin long ago. Death In Space
This game, released on April 12, 2022, takes place in a broken world and is about uncertain journeys out into the darkness of space, where the void whispers to the unlucky and imbues travelers’ bodies with strange powers. It is about you and your crew making a home of your spacecraft or station. Most of all, it is about surviving in an abandoned frontier system where resources are scarce, and competition is fierce. above all, do anything you can to get that next job.

Alien RPG: Heart of Darkness
Heart of Darkness is an expansion to the Alien RPG and is releasing today, October 18, 2022. The company found a new life form, and they want you to study it. Catalog this organism, determine how they can use it, and bring it back so they can slap their patent on it. Fairly routine stuff. Did I mention the money? There’s a lot of it. Seemed too good to be true. In short, the expansion offers a spiraling descent into soul-crushing madness.

Vaesen: Mythic Britain & Ireland
This game is an expansion to the original Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying and was funded on Kickstarter only 6 minutes after going live! After releasing on October 11, 2022, players will leave the Mythic North and set sail for the mist-shrouded isles of Mythic Britain and Ireland. Explore the fog-shrouded streets of London, and discover the secrets of Rose House and the British Society. Roam the islands and walk the moors in search of long-lost tales and ancient remnants.

MÖRK BORG Cult: Heretic
The Heretic expansion for MÖRK BORG is a zine of community-made misadventure and malice for use in the game or other rules-light dark fantasy games. This evil tome includes creatures, classes, optional rules and generators as well as four adventures; Nurse the Rot, Graves Left Wanting, Sepulchre of the Swamp Witch, and Bloat.
