New Wave Toys has been releasing new RepliCades like crazy, and there’s no sign of them slowing down. This time, they’re releasing a 1942 x RepliCade machine and like its predecessors, New Wave has added a little extra flair. This specific machine is a 1/6th scale replica of the ROMSTAR/Capcom 1942 Lowboy arcade cabinet. Inside of this miniature model of the original is not one but two fully playable games! The games included are the original ROMs of 1942 and 1943: The Battle of Midway.
This cabinet has had a lot of work put into it with every detail being painstakingly recreated. Things like wood being used, an illuminated marquee, the accents throughout, metal coin mechanisms, and so much more are on display. There are some other really cool features thrown in as well such as customizable dipswitch and cabinet settings, HDMI connectivity, and a bonus 1943 mini arcade stick which adds the ability to play with a second player! There’s also a 1943 variant that also deserves a look-see too.
