Did you get into the last public test flight for the long-awaited PC release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection? Yeah me neither… Anyways, as we get closer to the game’s launch the flights will become bigger in size, and guess what another one is planned for the next 2 weeks! No set date has been given but the test will be for Halo: Reach’s fan-favorite Fire Fight mode. As always dates and times may change so don’t get your hopes set in stone.
Fire Fight was first introduced in Halo 3: ODST and featured waves of survival-based gameplay. As the rounds would progress different skulls would activate to increase the difficulty. For Halo: Reach, this concept was improved upon with more enemies per wave and the ability to set up custom matches and rules. The maps featured in Reach’s Fire Fight mode were also much larger than many in ODST making for some awesome playgrounds!
Halo: Reach is going to be the first game released for the PC version of MCC when it is finally ready to ship. Each additional game will follow in chronological order based on the original release date after that. Flights are planned throughout each phase of the game’s release and will include a mix of multiplayer and single-player tests. If you would like to still get signed up for the Halo: MCC insider program you can do so here.
