Bringing in well known characters from other series into a fighting game seems to be a growing trend in the genre today. While SoulCalibur VI was launched with Geralt from The Witcher, along with many returning and new unique characters, it seems there is more planned to come.

Bandai Namco has released a gameplay trailer for their newest character addition, 2B from Nier: Automata! This trailer also shows a glimpse of her story and there seems to be a direct connection to the returning whip-sword wielding fighter, Ivy. Check out the trailer:

I have to say, she looks like a badass character for sure! Her fighting style is well matched to what we saw in Nier and seems to be brought out well in this weapon based fighter series. But 2B doesn’t seem to be the only planned newcomer either. At the end, when it simply states that her DLC will be coming soon, you can see that it says there will be three new characters and two of them are just shadow shapes of who they are to represent.
