With the next-gen consoles hitting “store shelves” in just several days there was much anticipation to see what Xbox would be doing for Games With Gold in November. PlayStation has a strong November PS Plus line-up, giving its players 2 PS4 titles in the form of Middle-Earth: Shadow of War and Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition and a brand new PS5 release title, Bugsnax. Xbox published its lineup just a few days ago and to be honest, I expected more from them. Let’s get into exactly what Xbox gamers will expect this month.
Full Spectrum Warrior 11/01 - 11/15 (Xbox)
Aragami: Shadow Edition 11/01 - 11/30 (Xbox One)
LEGO Indiana Jones 11/16 - 11/30 (Xbox 360)
Swimsanity! 11/16 - 12/15 (Xbox One)
I love a good LEGO game but besides that, it’s pretty anticlimactic given what PlayStation players are getting for the month of November. My thoughts were that Xbox would’ve wanted to give a great incentive as well for those upgrading. I know that Xbox’s approach to next-gen was to ease players into upgrading but it would’ve been cool to see them deliver a really great lineup to get their gamer-base excited. As I said, I love LEGO and I’m sure that these other games have their merit, it just seems ho-hum given the fact that this is Xbox’s biggest month since the current-gen consoles came out in 2013.
