During The Game Awards 2021, a new rogue-like action game was announced that caught the attention of hack ‘n’ slash, sidescroller fans everywhere. This game was Have A Nice Death from the developers at Magic Design Studios who teamed up with publisher Perfect World Entertainment. This initial announcement gave us the reveal that the game would go into early access in March, but now we know exactly when this will begin.
Soon players will assume the role of Death, Founder and CEO of Death Incorporated, the giant underworld organization responsible for processing souls in the afterlife. As the company’s supreme leader, they will explore the darkly charming, procedurally generated departments of the corporation’s headquarters to round up and rehabilitate rogue employees who have been ignoring company protocol and snatching up far too many souls on Earth.
Have A Nice Death officially launches on to Steam’s Early Access this coming March 8th for $14.99 USD. From here, players will get to experience the hack ‘n’ scythe gameplay that they can catch a glimpse of from the trailer above. Are you excited to begin your ruling of the underworld?
