We have finally been given an update on the anime series we first learned about when we got the various news regarding Resident Evil that was announced for the series 25th anniversary! Capcom and Netflix have released the opening clip for their upcoming anime show Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. This clip also revealed that the launch date for the show will be July 8th.
After watching the clip myself, I have to say that I am surprised they are going with the full military approach right off the bat. I can’t tell if any of the zombie-related stuff has happened yet, or if they plan on including more aspects from the series such as parasites and werewolves. What I can tell is that they are coming in strong with this show and I am hoping it will be better than their usual CGI movies - which weren’t terrible, but honestly weren’t amazing either.
Along with this clip reveal, we also got an update on the free multiplayer game that came with Resident Evil Village. It seems that RE:Verse is officially slotted to begin its servers sometime this Summer. Still pretty vague, but you can get all the information regarding this player-verse-player title on the Capcom website. If you haven’t heard anything about RE:Verse yet, check out the trailer below.
