After a 3-year run on Disney XD, the TPCi dub of the Pokémon animated series moves to Netflix with the new season/series POKEMON JOURNEYS: THE SERIES. The 23rd season had already debuted in Japan in November of 2019. This new series has Ash team up with a new character (the Lugia gliding Goh) across 8 different regions of the Pokémon world: Kanto, Galar and beyond! — and sets out to explore the franchise’s past, present and future, such as a flashback episode that explores Pikachu’s origin as a Pichu.
Voice actor Zeno Robinson joins the dub as Goh, Sarah Natochenny returns as Ash and several human and Pokémon characters, Lisa Ortiz returns as the series voice director. 12 episodes of Pokémon Journeys are expected to debut in English on Netflix on June 12th, 2020.
Airing and production of the Japanese version of Pokémon Journeys has been on hiatus since April 19th, 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns. The season has halted airing episodes at episode 21 of the series, the 1109th overall.
