The highly anticipated sequel to the 2005 masterpiece, Psychonauts, has been given another delay. Psychonauts 2 is now slated for a 2020 release from its previous 2019 time-table. The announcement of the delay came as part of an E3 recap post on the games Fig page. This isn’t the first time that Psychonauts 2 has been delayed as it was originally intended for a 2018 release before being pushed into 2019.
“We’re now targeting next year for release. We know it’s always disappointing when you have to wait a bit longer, but we also know that you are an amazing, supportive bunch, who – just like us – want the game to be as good as possible. So we’re hopeful you’ll understand! <3”
Honestly I am fine with the delay if it means we get a better game in the end. Who knows, maybe being acquired by Microsoft has allowed for a couple of last minute additions that wouldn’t have been there otherwise. Either way I am sure the game will be fantastic when it does finally release!
