343 Industries has just revealed their newest update to Halo Infinite, the Winter Contingency II Event, and it's free for everyone. The event starts today and runs until January 3, allowing players to unlock a free 10-tier event pass with all kinds of festive goodies. One of which includes a Santa hat that you can outfit on your cute little Spartan head. That’s right, we are beginning to get hats in Halo Infinite and I have a feeling this is just the beginning.
It seems like we are also going to receive various weapon skins as well as other armor cosmetics, all highlighting the festive spirit. We are unsure if these armor cosmetics are locked to a specific armor core but chances are it will be available for the Mark VII. Stylish players will be happy to see that a new candy cane-inspired visor will also be up for grabs and much more!
Halo Infinite has been getting much attention and praise from the community since its latest updates. The online community for Halo Infinite has been consistently climbing and it seems the introduction to Forge mode and the match XP re-work have helped turn the game around. It is clear that 343 Industries is listening to its players and thankfully Halo has a bright future going into 2023.
Halo Infinite multiplayer is free to play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
