Teaming up together, developers SMG Studio and Devm Games are working on a silly co-op game called Moving Out. Focused on the aspect of moving furniture out of the house with wacky obstacles in the way, we are in for a fun yet challenging experience. Being published by Team 17, it is no surprise that we are looking at a game that shares the same vibes as the Overcooked games.
In better news than this games existence is that it will be on all major platforms! While it won’t be until sometime in 2020, we can expect to see Moving Out to be moving on to Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
There is also the single-player option for those who aren’t playing with friends, of course, but if you do plan on taking advantage of the co-op action then gather friends from near and far for this. The multiplayer aspect ranges from local co-op, shared/split-screen for online gameplay, and likely some player-vs-player challenge modes for when its time to go head-to-head to see who is the best mover.
I love seeing more and more of these couch co-op and multiplayer games coming out ever since the split-screen drought. I hope to see the style make a bigger come back than it already has and that players will be able to game with friends whether they are across the world or across the hallway in a wider variety of game types. But first, we need to move this couch into the living room before we can start our couch co-op session!
