Publisher PQube has announced a confirmed release date for MassHive Media’s apothecary RPG Potion Permit. The game will release on PC and consoles simultaneously on September the 22nd.
Potion Permit puts the player in the shoes of a newly-qualified chemist, moving out to the remote town of Moonbury. The townsfolk have long mistrusted the more modern methods of treatment, but with the Mayor’s daughter sick and none of the old ways working, the arrival of the alchemist in their midst spells a potential seachange in their attitudes, if this stranger can get it right.
Gameplay involves tending to the illnesses and injuries of the townsfolk of Moonbury. Not only does that mean diagnosing the source of the issue, but going out into the world and harvesting the ingredients for a cure. The search for reagents for treatment may mean picking flowers, or hunting monsters for the right stuff.
The game also puts a focus on making sure the town’s residents begin to warm to the chemist and gaining their trust potentially paves the way to creating more facilities to improve on the options available. A few of the single residents might start taking an interest too!
Potion Permit will release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store) on 22nd September 2022.
