Developers Oiffy and Wolf & Wood Interactive, along with publisher Wired Productions, have announced the official release date for their upcoming first-person narrative adventure game The Last Worker. The last trailer we got from this team revealed a major platform expansion, but now that it is finally coming out, it’s time to decide if you prefer the digital or physical edition of the game.
To go with the announcement, they have a brand new ‘Don’t be a robot’ trailer that invites you to join Kurt and Skew on shift as they dispatch dreams while gaining insight into the co-dependent nature of their relationship - regardless of how (jail) broken Skew can get. Perhaps it will be a nice reminder that this title is centered around humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world, where humans are being replaced by robots.
Created from the ground up to deliver both VR and flat-packed experiences, the game combines a hand-crafted art style created in collaboration with comics legend Mick McMahon (Judge Dredd, 2000 AD) and unique, immersive gameplay mechanics, seamlessly interwoven into a narrative game like no other. Interested players can register their interest for the physical editions now on the Wired Productions website.
The Last Worker is set to launch on March 30th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, as well as in virtual reality with PCVR, Meta Quest 2, and PlayStation VR2 options.
