A known leaker for the Resident Evil series has shared an update on a lot of the new series entries, and has shared news that no one was expecting.
AestheticGamer1 or better known on the internet as Dusk Golem, is known for putting out leaks pertaining to horror games, but is most prolific for their work on Resident Evil Games.
In a latest series of tweets, they have outlined the following updates.
Resident Evil 1 Remake does not exist
Resident Evil 5 is not being actively developed right now
Resident Evil 9 has been delayed to late 2025/2026
Resident Evil Code Veronica X and Zero remakes are in development
The most surprising update shared is of Resident Evil 1 remake, which many other leakers have corroborated, so we will have to wait and see with Capcom’s future announcements on how true this announcement is.
In addition, Dusk Golem previously stated that Resident Evil 9 was previously said to release on January 2025, but with these new developments, the spotlight is now on Capcom to give us official updates on the future projects and see which leakers are on the mark.
