The Resident Evil Showcase has delivered an update to a long-awaited title in the series, the multiplayer-focused Resident Evil Re:Verse. With a short-lived beta and no updates since 2021, this title is beginning to kick off its launch phase very soon. CAPCOM has revealed a brand new gameplay trailer showcasing Chris Redfield's squad from Resident Evil: Village taking on multiple Re:Verse baddies.
The trailer shows a much more light-hearted affair, with campy music and third-person shooting action. We get glimpses of the many characters we will find in this multiplayer such as Chris. Ada, Tyrant, Chris’ squadmates, Leon, and Jill. It seems like there is going to be a hefty number of playable characters in this title which should make multiplayer an interesting ordeal.
Other than some fresh gameplay showing us that the game is not dead and still in development, there is also an update from the game’s official Twitter account.
It seems like fans who own a copy of Resident Evil: Village will be able to play Resident Evil Re:Verse early on 10/23 - 10/25. Be ready to download the game and its necessary updates this Sunday and try it out for yourself!
Resident Evil Re:Verse currently does not have a launch date but is set to release very soon and will be made available for free to anyone who owns Resident Evil: Village.
