At Gamescom 2016 it was revealed fans will get their hands on Resident Evil VII January 24th! After watching this trailer, I could not be more excited to finally play it! The game definitely looks to be a departure in more ways than it's first person perspective and American writing staff.
Looks like at some point in the game you'll play a woman trying to escape a prison and eventually failing. The whole sequence definitely seems Outlast inspired, and while it's not original, it might be something the series needs to reinvent itself after 20 years.
