Back in December 2019, Retro-Bit asked the community to help decide the next color its awesome Tribute 64 controllers would come in. The vote lasted around 2 weeks and by the end of it, a winner had been decided. Rather than limit the winner to just the most voted, Retro-Bit decided to make new controllers based on the top three winners of Classic Grey, Atomic Purple, and Sea Salt Ice Cream. Check out the picture below to see how the votes were broken down between each available option.
It hasn’t taken Retro-Bit long to get production on these new colors started as each one of the winners has now been revealed in a photo on the Retro-Bit Twitter. Check them out below!
Man, they look slick and I can’t wait to snag a few for myself! Especially that Sea Salt Ice Cream one. I championed for that one to win like crazy! I will also like to compare the differences in these later production models to the original models I currently own and see if there are any differences based on user feedback given over the last year. No release date has yet been given for the new Tribute 64 colors but I imagine we won’t have long to wait to try them out for ourselves!
