Iron Galaxy’s wrestling-inspired Battle Royale, Rumbleverse, is jumping off the top rope for the last time later this month. Iron Galaxy announced on Tuesday that the servers for the game will be shut down on February 28th, 2023. This comes roughly six months after the game’s initial launch back in August of 2022.
Any purchases made in the game are eligible for a full refund, and the premium store has been closed to prevent any further purchases. But there is some good news, as Iron Galaxy is turning February into an all-out, in-game party to prepare for Rumbleverse’s end.
They’ve made the Season Two Battle Pass free for all players along with some cosmetic items, and every team mode will be live in the game until the end of the month. The Rumbleverse team also revealed that they’re planning on hosting live streams throughout February to celebrate the game and reveal behind-the-scenes details about its development.
This may not be the end of the Rumbleverse franchise, though. In a blog post on Iron Galaxy’s main site, the developer also states that they’re not done playing in this universe yet and that they hope to “welcome people back onto the deck of the battle barge again.” While it’s unknown if we’ll see more from this IP in the future, the blog post does make clear the Iron Galaxy isn’t going anywhere.
