SCUF BLACK OPS 7 Envision Pro PC Controller Quick Review: A Glow-Up Follow-Up to Last Year's Addition

Review sample provided by Scuf

Last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 edition of the SCUF Envision Pro was a promising pro-style controller with a few caveats. This year’s version, though not straying far from it, aside from its art design atop it, hasn’t changed. So then why do I feel different about it this time around with the SCUF Envision Pro Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Edition?

Aesthetics and Build Quality

Though a lot can be said about this Envision Pro as we did last year, the main attraction here is the design of the art on the controller. This year’s is a bit more eye-catching with pops of oranges and blues. They’re not strewn across the whole controller but smartly placed to give the controller just enough contrast to its stark uses of black and grey. I really think the color-scheme works well together, especially with each thumbstick getting its own color underneath.

Gameplay

I spent quite a bit of time playing games over the last month, and have to be honest, the Envision Pro was my controller of choice. Although I still don’t love how far some buttons are, or the buttons on the back of the controller, this is really a comfortable controller to use for long periods of time. It almost fits perfectly in the hands, and the clicky mouse-like responses from buttons are extremely satisfying.

Feedback

As I said last year, I would prefer this controller to be a bit smaller, but it isn’t the biggest one I’ve had to navigate. What I found to be the most egregious critique this time around was the fact that the lower buttons on the backside of this specific controller were a bit spongy and unresponsive to clicks.

Verdict

Though I have my opinions about the SCUF Envision Pro Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Edition controller, there’s no doubt that it’s a really good controller overall. Though its size and back buttons can be a bit hit or miss, the rest of the controller is certainly worth trying out for yourself.
