After a trailer that came seemingly out of nowhere, we have 17 gameplay minutes of Space Hulk: Deathwing to share with you today! If you're not familiar, this game features a marriage of Space, scifi, magic, medieval and modern weaponry in the best way. The best way to describe it is you're invading space castles and killing aliens using enchanted swords and automatic rifles. Yeah...I know that sounds bad ass. In the solo campaign you play as a Librarian of the Dark Angels' 1st Company, the Deathwing, taking on swarms of Genestealer in the Space Hulk Olethros with Storm Bolter and Force Sword in hand. The Librarian is a Psyker, granting him access to powerful psychic abilities such as chain lighting, a powerful lightning bolt, which arcs between multiple enemies; and Shockwave, which blasts enemies back from you. You will need to utilize the full armory of the Deathwing company, your powerful psychic abilities, as well as the squad members under your command to fend off the xenos threat.
It appears to play just as bad ass as it sounds, and allows you to experience the campaign with others online as well! That said, this footage you're going to see is for the solo campaign experience. If you happen to pre-order the game on PC, you can take part in the beta that launches December 9th. We won't see this game hit consoles until sometime in 2017. Check out the latest footage below.
