Storied developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital are releasing Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition for PC and next-gen consoles in a fortnight. While the original Shadow Warrior 3 has received mixed reviews since its original release on March 1st last year, the Definitive Edition promises to add a ton of excellent new content, including the all-new Survival Mode, New Game Plus, Hardcore Mode, and Hero Mode. Also, players who already own Shadow Warrior 3, will receive a free update to the Definitive Edition.
Survival mode will be available after finishing the main story, it will be a completely new game mode consisting of three new battle arenas providing hours of new gameplay. Three new weapon skins will be up for grabs for those who can complete the challenge.
New Game Plus will let players re-explore Shadow Warrior 3’s story mode. Players will be able to enjoy additional challenges, rewards, and skins. The new Hardcore mode is self-explanatory and will make the game that much harder. Hero Mode, however, is the big deal, it will include a challenging modifier that shortens the player’s life to a limited number of respawns. Players can earn more of them by performing spectacular Finishers, but run out, and their progress will be lost forever.
Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition will be available on February 16th on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
