Skate Gears Up for Seasons, Kicking Off with Season 1: Hesh & Fresh

I’ve been having a blast with skate. so far, and the team is about to make things even better with the arrival of Seasons. These updates will expand San Vansterdam with new skateable areas, challenges, seasonal events, brand collaborations, cosmetics, quality-of-life upgrades, and more. Each season is built around a fresh theme, and Season 1: Hesh & Fresh is diving straight into a 90’s-inspired vibe.

Right from the start, players will notice new skateable areas scattered across San Van. Seasonal décor will pop up at familiar spots like The Orb and The Skateway, alongside new areas waiting to be discovered, giving the city even more life and personality.

Season 1 also brings two standout events. Beginning October 21, Skate-o-Ween rolls in with a playful Halloween celebration that’s more about laughs and creativity than scares—think costumes, silly outfits, and a city decked out for the season. Then from November 18 to December 2, the 7-Ply Maple Harvest takes over, honoring the city’s iconic maple trees. Back in the 70s, skaters discovered that their wood was perfectly suited for skateboard construction, and this festival has since become a community tradition about accomplishments, growth, and reflection.

On top of that, there are 40 brand-new Challenges rotating weekly, plus daily, seasonal, and event Tasks to keep players pushing their limits and earning rewards. The in-game store is also expanding with new brand partners, including NHS’s Santa Cruz, Independent, and Creature, giving everyone more ways to customize their gear. And the soundtrack? Pure 90’s energy. Season 1 introduces 21 fresh tracks from legends like Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., and Ice Cube, with the full setlist dropping soon.

All of this arrives alongside the Lighting Update and the debut of the skate.Pass, both adding even more depth to the experience.

With everything packed into Hesh & Fresh, I’m already hooked—and I can’t wait to see how each new season keeps pushing the boundaries of what skate. can be.
