Sonic Drops Official Racing Mixtape on Spotify Ahead of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Release

If you need a good playlist to listen to while racing through different dimensions and back, Sonic’s got you covered. Sega and Sonic Team released Sonic’s Racing Mixtape on Spotify ahead of the release of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds next week.

The playlist comes with a cover of Sonic playing on his DJ set, painted by IDW Sonic cover artist Natalie Haines, and 40 songs said to be handpicked by none other than the Blue Blur himself. The songs are carefully selected to reflect the high-octane nature of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, including “Tokyo Drift” by Teriyaki Boyz, “Pump It” by The Black Eyed Peas, “ETA” by NewJeans, “Act A Fool” by Ludacris, “Intergalactic” by Beastie Boys, “Road Trippin’” by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and even “Sonic Speed Riders” from Sonic Riders.

Sonic’s Racing Mixtape also includes songs from other Sega games, such as Jet Set Radio Future, Out Run, Daytona USA, and Sonic R.

This playlist reminds me of my Sonic Riders playlist, as I have two of the same songs from Sonic’s Racing Mixtape on my playlist as well. I won’t tell you what songs they are though. Anyways, I can’t wait to put this playlist on blast when I play Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds next week.
