Sony Says "It's All About What Publishers And Developers Want" In Response To Cross Play

Days after Microsoft and Psyonix (Rocket League) announced their plans of "universal cross play" Sony has broken their silence. Gameinformer spoke to Adam Boyes, VP of publisher and development relations, who says it's about what the developers want...

We're always open to stuff like that...It's all about what the developers and publishers want to do. They get in touch with us and handle everything on a case by case basis...I think we have to analyze what the impact is going to be and how the hand off works...Our publishers know their business very well, so we always want to look at those opportunities."

It's a good question as to how Sony and Microsoft will be able to make this work. If I had to guess, I'm sure Microsoft has a solution for Sony which involves using their tech and buying their stuff.

I'm really interested to see if this actually happens! While the announcement got a lot of people excited, I really want to know if it will actually work! Will Nintendo be included? One answer just creates several more questions.
