STAR WARS JEDI: SURVIVOR Gets Delayed By A Month

EA’s Star Wars Twitter and Respawn have recently announced they are delaying the highly anticipated sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor by a month. The new release date is April 28th, just shy of a week before Star Wars Day, May 4th. Fans will have to wait an additional few weeks before they can revisit the world of Cal Kestis and continue his Jedi storyline.

Honestly, I am in favor of this move from EA. How often does EA delay major AAA titles? Typically they are in a rush to get the game out the door and patch it up along the way (Battlefield 2042 anyone?). This is a welcome change and It’s nice to see EA understands that delicious meals need time to bake. Respawn, take all the time you need to make the entry even better than the original.

You can check out the full letter on EA’s Twitter here and it will give you a better scope of how the title is being handled. Respawn is clearly going the extra mile with this one, so more time to polish is more than understandable.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now launching on April 28th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and EGS.
