Story and Gameplay
Super Mario Party Jamboree brings the party back—this time with more boards, more minigames, and approximately 800% more confetti. It’s still the same solid, chaotic foundation we all know and love: roll dice, ruin friendships, and watch Yoshi get absolutely dunked on by RNG. Gameplay is tight, responsive, and easy for anyone to pick up—whether you’re a hardcore Bowser main or a confused grandparent mashing buttons on Waluigi. But the new Jamboree TV mode, while flashy, adds a strange layer of… “Wait, what does this actually do?” The content delivery here feels a bit muddled, like the devs rolled a 4 on clarity and just went with it. Still, underneath the oddly labeled menus lies a game that's endlessly fun for all ages.
Graphics and Sound
There’s no denying it—Jamboree pops on the Switch 2. Characters shine, animations are buttery smooth, and the boards are bursting with color and detail. However… where are the resolution options? We’re on next-gen hardware and still locked into the same visual presets like it’s 2018. That said, the game’s charm, polish, and infectious soundtrack more than make up for the head-scratching technical choices. From joyful menu jingles to chaotic minigame anthems, your ears will be having as much fun as your rapidly mashing thumbs.
Feedback and Verdict
Super Mario Party Jamboree isn’t perfect. The strange menu design, unclear bonus modes, and lack of visual flexibility feel like someone spilled orange juice on the settings screen and never wiped it up. But once you’re actually in a game, all of that disappears in a flurry of laughter, Mario quotes, and petty sabotage. It’s beautiful, it’s simple, and it’s the kind of fun that brings families (and rivalries) together. Still solid, still easy to recommend—just be prepared to scratch your head a little before the party starts.
