ATLUS has announced they will be releasing the first three titles from Etrian Odyssey series in a remastered HD collection this Summer. Officially known as the Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, it adds new features such as newly remastered visuals and a remastered soundtrack. It also hosts a multitude of quality-of-life improvements, such as difficulty selection, save slots, and easier access to the in-game monster compendium, quest log, and skill tree. They even reworked the well-known dungeon mapping system for modern consoles, with touchscreen options for Nintendo Switch and mouse support for PC.
Prepare to head out on a grand adventure once again! Here’s a quick reminder of each game’s plot:
Etrian Odyssey - Beyond the village of Etria lies a mysterious forest with a colossal crack opening to a puzzling labyrinth. Lead a team of explorers into the dungeon, with the promise of riches, fame, and adventure!
Etrian Odyssey II - Take off to the skies for High Lagaard, a mysterious castle beyond the clouds. Assemble a team of heroes, seek the mystery of the colossal Yggdrasil tree, and uncover the truth of the city!
Etrian Odyssey III - Set sail to an undersea labyrinth in search of the Deep City of Armoroad! Lead a party of adventurers to explore the vast dungeon in search of untold technology, treasure, and lost secrets.
As a special bonus for this new release, Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will include 24 brand-new character portraits. Those that pre-order the collection will receive DLC packs that provide access to unique character portraits based on iconic ATLUS IP such as:
