For those hoping that a Crash Bandicoot announcement was coming at E3, prepare to be disappointed. Looks like even if Sony wanted to revitalize the series, they don't have the rights. VideoGamer has the scoop via a tweet from Playstation head Adam Boyes.

This is confusing to some as a recent cameo in a high profile Sony game (I won't say which due to spoilers) listed no reference to Activision owning the rights. Maybe it was an oversight, or maybe Sony has acquired the right and is lying to their Russian fans? I'll air on the side of oversight and assume we aren't seeing a new Crash anytime soon.
