Action Role-Playing Game (ARPG) Toasty: Ashes Of Dusk has reached its $25,000 USD goal on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter within hours of its launch! The game, developed by Pocket Llama and set to be published by Top Hat Studios began its campaign on March 29th. At the time of writing has currently raised $71,359 USD in funds from interested backers.

Toasty: Ashes of Dusk adopts a retro, if eclectic feel, with the trailer showing top-down ARPG reminiscent of early Zelda titles, turn-based combat, and bike racing, and, with the meeting of the $70k stretch goal, even the addition of a dating sim for confection-headed courting.

It follows the adventures of Marshall the Marshmallow Knight, who sets out on a quest for answers, not in the least an answer as to why his head is a Marshmallow, and to protect the land of Geldia from the mysterious force known as LLARM. Alongside the campaign, Pocket Llama has released a free prequel comic that details some of the events leading up to the Kingdom’s predicament.

Toasty: Ashes of Dusk is planned for release on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and as of their April 5th Kickstarter update, Pocket Llama has announced it will also receive a release for the Steam Deck.
