Void Interactive has been on a steady streak since they launched their SWAT sim December of 2021. Ready or Not is currently in early access and has been receiving constant updates from the developers for months, implementing AI improvements, squadmates, a ton of maps, and weapons. This is exactly what you want to see come from an early access title and as we slowly approach the one-year anniversary for Ready or Not, we are gifted with true mod.io support.
This new update is available now and it offers the ability to utilize mods via an in-game menu. This is obviously a huge community-requested feature that will allow players to play the game the way they want to. Everything from skins, to weapons, to AI behavior are all accessible through mod.io and its user-created content.
Ready or Not has shown that there is still a need for ultra realistic sims that put players in some of the toughest situations to encounter in an FPS scenario. Heavily influenced by the classic S.W.A.T titles from years past, this game aims to be a spiritual successor and improves upon nearly all aspects. The gameplay is much different than a typical shooter and requires much more planning and strategy.
