The next update for the growingly popular Viking-themed cooperative game Tribes of Midgard as Norsfell and Gearbox Publishing releases the Valhalla Saga. Forge new armor, wield powerful new runes, defeat two mighty new Ancient Variants, and travel in style with mounts! Saga of Ancients Epilogue - Witness the narrative conclusion to Tribes of Midgard’s campaign story arc that started at launch two years ago. Defeating Fenrir, Jörmungandr, Surtr, and Hel in a Survival or Saga World and returning to the sanctuary will trigger a unique, action and narrative-packed sequence culminating in an epic showdown with a brand new Ancient.
Mounts are Here – Players can now speed up their exploration with the use of mounts. By collecting various mounts, players will be able to move swiftly about Midgard as they work to defeat all the ancients in one run to reach the story's conclusion.
Valhalla Level and Rewards Revamp – formerly known as Season XP, players will now earn Valhalla XP. Valhalla XP will increase their Valhalla level to a max of 50. Every Valhalla level gained will award golden horns which can be spent to unlock content of the players' choosing.
Survival Offers New Permadeath Setting – When starting a solo or multiplayer survival world, players can now toggle whether permadeath is turned on or off. As it sounds, there is no respawning in worlds with permadeath enabled; you die and it’s game over.
The Byefrost Festive Event: April 11 – May 1 – join us in celebrating saying ‘Goodbye’ to winter’s frost and embrace the colorful blossoms of a Spring renewal in the Byefrost Festive Event. Complete a challenge per week to receive a host of rewards and unlock new mounts, a cosmetic armor set and a ‘beary’ sweet companion. The world of Midgard has been transformed into a blooming wonderland for you to explore.
